About
How we got our start
Pronto Gelato is a small batch gelato manufacturer in Portland Oregon founded by Andrea Spella and George Kaden in 2023.
Andrea is the owner of Portland coffee staple, Spella Caffè. He first sold espresso beans to Campana restaurant, which is owned by George, in the summer of 2017. Little did they know that an opportunity to build a business together would present itself several years later.
In 2023, Andrea and George combined their many years of experience as business owners and purchased a small wholesale company from a retiring gelato maker.
They moved everything from Eugene to Portland and opened their gelato production shop in the winter of 2024.
Pronto packages gelato and sorbetto for restaurants, grocers, and cafes. Pronto has a scoop shop which opened on May 25th 2024. It is located on Alberta St. @ 42nd Ave. in the Cully neighborhood of Portland, Oregon.

What our amazing customers think
Sparkling clean and friendly corner shop in NE Portland. Staff is helpful and their products are fresh and always delicious. The affogato is a must if in need of a pick me up. The espresso gelato is a must try for coffee lovers, although you can’t go wrong with any of their flavors!
The service was really good and the gelato was just as great. I had the Lime Ginger with Grapefruit sorbetto and it was a perfect sunset treat. My husband had chocolate cherry with pistachio. Delish! We even got some to take home. So glad to have this new sweet treat in my neighborhood. Highly recommend.
